Our family shared a wonderful
vacation at The Lake House of Tom and Rosemary Carroll. Their home is
beautifully decorated and fully stocked with all the necessities needed
for a family vacation. the view of

I can't rave enough about how great
this vacation home is. When I first saw the pictures of this lake house
online it looked like something out of a luxury living magazine. Even
with those images fresh in my mind, it still did not compare to seeing
this house in person.
Upon arrival, I was immediately excited to meet the owners, who were
very friendly and accommodating, and gave us a full tour of the house.
There is more than enough room for people to sleep comfortably between
the master bedroom, the private efficiency, and several other rooms with
pull out beds.
The living room itself has the most spectacular view of the lake, where
if you watch close enough, you will see geese coming up into the yard to
take a break from swimming. Once outside you are met with ample green
grass and shaded trees, a peaceful hammock, a hot tub, a full deck, an
enclosed bamboo walkway, and so much more.
My most memorable moments were being out on the lake. I got to take out
each boat, and was especially fond of the two kayaks they just got that
weekend. They provided life jackets too for safety and showed us how to
care for the boats and get them in/out of the water.
Another favorite of mine was their spacious kitchen, which was maybe the
equivalent of two normal size kitchens combined. There was enough room
for people to sit casually and make conversation while others prepared
the meal.
The large flat screen TV in the living room made it very easy to have a
group movie night. And if someone wanted to watch something different,
there were several rooms equipped with flat screen televisions. There
were also enough bathrooms to accommodate a large family/group of
friends comfortably.
The backyard and deck were big enough for people to gather outside as a
group or break up and do their own thing (lay in the hammock, sit in the
gazebo or on the deck). The owners also provided us with a bike trails
map and information about local events (they were very accommodating to
our needs and interests).
Overall, I would highly recommend this home as a vacation home for
people who want to enjoy being in close proximity to beaches, Dover
Downs, shopping and other activities, but also prefer a peaceful,
secluded place to rest their heads and relax. I would definitely rent
this house again for another getaway vacation.

Dear Rosemary and Tom,
Thank you so much for sharing your
lake house with my family. Our vacation was everything we hoped for and
more. The property is absolutely beautiful - the inside is cozy,
spacious, and clean; the outside is beautifully landscaped with
spectacular lake views! Fishing, canoeing, paddle boating, swimming and
much tranquility was exactly what we were looking for. Each day was a
new adventure for my children (ages 8 and 10) as we saw Herons, it
seemed hundreds of turtles, eagles, ducks, geese, clams, and many
different types of fish. As soon as we threw our fishing pole out
whether we were in a boat or on the dock we caught fish. It was a
vacation we will not forget and hope to repeat!

Dear Rosemary and Tom,What can I say, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!! The 2 of you are very special people. You made my boys and I feel very comfortable and very much at home. You opened your house and your hearts and we will always remember your kindness. Knowing I was a single parent, you both extended yourselves to help us if we needed, whether that b taking my boys out on the boat or taking us for breakfast. Because of who your are, you have been officially adopted into our family per my children and myself. My youngest son Adam was very fond of you Tom, and, I can see why. You are beautiful people who love life and love all that comes in your paths. How blessed are we to have met you both!
I arrived with my boys ages 10 and 16 to be followed by my girlfriend and her 2 girls ages 8 and 10 the next day. We all had so much fun and so much to do. Our children actually learned how 2 relax and enjoy the beauty of this lake house, how great is that!!

For those of you who have the pleasure of staying here, enjoy each day to its fullest and love the peace and serenity. Whether it be swimming in the lake, fishing, taking a boat ride, napping in the hammock, having a glass of wine in the gazebo, coffee on the deck, a swing, a splash in the hot tub, watching the stars at night, ENJOY, you can't get any better.
